Vinmec Central Park International Hospital recently hosted Pink Day program – “Early breast cancer screening can save your life” for Vinhomes Women’s Association with the participation of leading experts in mammary glands in Vietnam. The purpose of the program is to increase women’s awareness of the value of early breast disease detection and diagnosis.
More than a hundred women attended Pink Day at Vinhomes Central Park to enjoy dedicated services and practical health education. More importantly, one-on-one consultations and ultrasounds were provided for free to women by experts and medical specialists. In addition to building connections between female residents, Pink Day is a significant step toward raising women’s awareness of protecting their breast health.
According to the data, 35% of the women who took part in the program were found with breast abnormalities that were classified as BIRADS 3 or higher, which is the level where malignancy risk starts to develop. Furthermore, 10% were scheduled for an MRI scan in order to properly observe and assess their health status, a few of them also received comprehensive consultation due to their increased risk of breast cancer. This proves that organizing screening and examination programs for the community is extremely necessary to help educate and detect diseases early for prompt treatment.
Vinmec International Hospital hopes to raise awareness of the importance of proactive breast health care through this worthwhile initiative. It is not only the duty of women to take care of their health, but also a shared responsibility of the community as a whole.
In order to fulfill the mission of “always putting the patient at the center,” Vinmec invests in expert examination, consultation, and treatment services along with providing cutting-edge, globally compliant equipment to aid in diagnosis and treatment, establishing a safe and civilized environment.
