Labor Hero – People’s Doctor – Prof. MD Bui Duc Phu – Vice President of Vietnam General Medical Association – Director of Cardiology at Vinmec Healthcare System; Former Director of Hue Central Hospital, former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee for Health Care and Protection, Former Director of the Vietnam Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and Director of the Asian Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons. He is the foremost expert in cardiovascular surgery in Vietnam, with more than four decades of experience. He led the team that performed the first HUMAN heart transplant in Vietnam, which was performed by a team of entirely Vietnamese doctors. Received the First-, Second-, and Third-Class Labor Medals for the years 2013 – 2009 – 2007. The French President bestowed him with the National Merit Medal in 2022.
Prof. TS.BS. Bui Duc Phu is currently the Director of the Cardiovascular Center at Vinmec Times City International Hospital and co-chair of the Cardiovascular Subcommittee for the Vinmec Healthcare System.
