From late April 2023, patients undergoing heart surgery, endoscopic joint surgery at Vinmec Nha Trang International Hospital will be able to have the government medical insurance cover a variety of expenses for medical consumables. With the medical insurance, the public will now have the opportunity to receive more affordable international standard medical examination, treatment and care for heart and joint diseases at Vinmec Nha Trang for a cost as low as other hospitals in the same area.
According to the government insurance’s published list of medical consumables, patient undergoing vascular surgeries (artery stent placement) at Vinmec Nha Trang will benefit for a coverage of 40,000,000 – 50,000,000 VNĐ for expenses of medical consumables. Patients having endoscopic joint surgery can be covered up to 30,000,000 – 35,000,000 VNĐ. According to doctors, the amount of medical consumables varies across different surgeries. However, in many cases, the cost of medical consumables can take up to 50% of the surgery cost.
This level of insurance coverage has come into effect at Vinmec Nha Trang since late April 2023.
