Excellent Doctor, Associate Professor, Nguyen Van Phan MD. PhD is one of the leading Cardiovascular surgeons in Vietnam, one of the founders of Vietnam’s Cardiovascular Surgery, has about 40 years experience with the field of cardiac surgery.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phan was conferred the title of Associate Professor in 2015. In particular, in 2019, Aprof. Nguyen Van Phan was honored to be awarded the title of Excellent Doctor by the State in recognition of the Associate Professor’s contributions to the country’s health sector for more than 30 years.
After years of hard work and dedication, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Phan held several important positions such as: Former Deputy Director of General Surgery Division, Heart Institute of Ho Chi Minh City; Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery; Program Director Mitral valve repair training program for Asia-Pacific surgeons; Honorary Member of the Royal Society of Surgeons of Thailand and Honorary Member of the Thai Thoracic Surgeons Association.
Besides medical examination and treatment at the hospital, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Phan is also a visiting officer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy. He has guided many generations of doctors to achieve the title of Master, Doctor of Medicine, Assoc. Prof.
Also, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Phan has devoted himself full time to writing books and scientific research with 12 approved scientific research projects, more than 41 published scientific articles in Medical journals, practical applications in medicine, training and medical examination and treatment in hospitals.
Currently, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Phan is Deputy Head of the Cardiology Sub-Committee, Deputy Director of the Cardiovascular Center – In charge of Cardiovascular Surgery at Vinmec Central Park International Hospital.
