- Neonatal screening for early detection and intervention of congenital hypothyroidism and G6PD enzyme deficiency, in order to contribute to improve population quality’ from 2004 to 2006. She is one of the first Vietnamese people who works on the neonatal screening program with congenital hypothyroidism and G6DP deficiency, which is included in national key program and implemented on 51/63 cities and provinces in the country across the country by the Directorate of Population – Ministry of Health.
- ‘Screening for the high risk of congenital metabolic disorder in Vietnam’ for the first time at the National Children Hospital, cooperated with Shimane-Japan Academy to detect rare diseases and save lives if any early diagnosis and timely intervention from 2005 to 2015. Currently, the program has been widely implemented in major cities across the country.
- Scientific research projects: Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoan has over 86 full-text articles published in: Vietnam Pediatric Journal, Journal of Medicine, Journal of Endocrinology, Military… There are about 11 reports published in foreign journals, as ‘Gene’; ‘Human Mutation’; ‘Diabetes care’; ‘Molecular genetic and metabolism’; ‘Journal of Inherited metabolic disease’.
