Associate Professor, PhD, Doctor Pham Duc Huan is Vietnam’s specialist in gastrointestinal surgery, successfully performed more than 1000 laparoscopic surgeries for colorectal cancer, more than 1000 laparoscopic surgeries for esophageal cancer, more than 500 surgeries laparoscopic partial and total gastrectomy.
Dr. Pham Duc Huan is one of the pioneering surgeons who have successfully implemented and applied most types of laparoscopic surgery to treat gastrointestinal diseases such as Laparoscopic Surgery to Cut Esophageal Cancer. endoscopic resection of benign oesophagitis, laparoscopic surgery for cardiac spasm, laparoscopic total gastrectomy, partial gastrectomy, laparoscopic tail-pancreatic nephrectomy, laparoscopic resection colon, rectal resection and treatment of many other abdominal surgical pathologies. Associate Professor Pham Duc Huan is also an expert in anorectal surgery, the first person to implement Longo surgery to treat hemorrhoids in Vietnam.
Dr. Pham Duc Huan was the former Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital, former Head of Digestive Surgery Department of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, former Head of General Surgery Department of Hanoi Medical University Hospital. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2007; At the same time, he is also a member of the Vietnam Association of Surgery and Laparoscopic Surgery, the Vietnam Association of Anus and Rectum, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Vietnam Journal of Laparoscopic Surgery.
Dr. Pham Duc Huan is co-chairman of 1 national scientific project, presides over 2 branch projects at national level, has over 70 scientific research topics published in prestigious domestic scientific journals and reports at specialized scientific conferences and 6 articles published in international scientific journals. Associate Professor, PhD, Doctor Pham Duc Huan is also the co-editor of 5 training textbooks for General Practitioners, 1 textbook for postgraduate training, and participated in the compilation of 5 textbooks, undergraduate and post-graduate textbooks. Assoc. Prof. Pham Duc Huan is the editor of the book “Digestive Surgery Pathology” for postgraduate teaching which won the National Book Award.
With his contributions to the cause of people’s health care, his training and scientific research, Associate Professor Pham Duc Huan has been awarded many noble titles such as the title of Excellent Doctor, the title of People’s Doctor, Third-class Labor Medal, Second-class Labor Medal, Ministerial-level Emulation Soldier, etc.
